Ιστορικό: 7όροφο κτίριο ιδιοκτησίας ΕΦΚΑ (πρώην ΕΤΕΑΕΠ) με εμβληματικό χαρακτήρα κατασκευασμένο το 1958 σε σχέδια του αρχιτέκτονα Σπύρου Στάικου. Λειτούργησε το 1961 – 1980 ως ξενοδοχείο «Ambassadeur» και στη συνέχεια , από το έτος 1981 έως το 2000, ως το Εφετείο Αθηνών. Για ένα διάστημα λειτουργούσε ως άτυπη στέγη μεταναστών. Παραμένει αναξιοποίητο επί 20ετία.

ΠΡΟΤΑΣΗ
Ilikiomeni addresses the growing need for affordable and sustainable housing for
elderly people. The independence, dignity, and vibrant sense of community among senior residents is facilitated through this cooperative housing model.
The project is designed as a collaborative space where elderly people and young students live and grow together. Students benefit from affordable housing while contributing their time and skills to support the cooperative, fostering a mutually enriching environment.
Key features include:
● Affordability: Repurposed structures reduce costs, ensuring accessibility for elderly residents on fixed incomes.
● Community-Oriented Living: Shared spaces, kitchens, lounges, gardens, promote interaction and mutual care.
● Accessibility: Universal design principles ensure mobility-friendly spaces with elevators and barrier-free layouts.
With sustainability at its core and inclusivity in its vision, Ilikiomeni brings generations closer together, creating a blueprint for intergenerational and community-driven living.
